Just found this , which is a fork of libRocket that is still being updated (latest was only a few days ago :D).

Assuming Skyline is going to stick with libRocket (and not move to Noesis or CEGUI) then this could be worth looking into as it has new features, bug fixes and performance improvements over the original?

Just wondering if anyone has managed to get regular Excel-like tables to display in the UI? I have a 3 Column layout with different sized columns and in the first two columns I have a table in each, and in the 3rd column there is a music player.

I've tried several different ways (including 'DIV' tables) to get the coded UI to play nicely with no success :(

I could use the Visual GUI, but (unless there's a shortcut?) I don't fancy having to add almost 300 labels with borders.

Any help would be appreciated.

Otherwise the game code is based in the lua language with a custom set of controls and libraries giving access to almost all of the engine sort of like an SDK.

There is no c++, c# or any other programmable section until we are able to load dll's into lua at runtime.

Hope this helps answer your questions :)

- I'd keep the backgrounds grey and use the blue for highlights. Actually I'd keep the Skyline color scheme.
- Also I'd lower even more the contrast between elements, specially the rows.
- I'd reduce at maximum the amount of lines, if I need them, I'd make them very subtle.
- Try to use shades of the background as line color (i.e. a grey line over a blue background doesn't work).
- All lines should have the same width.

Hope it helps and keep the good work. ;)

Having (once again!) taken note of SP's comments, here is the (hopefully!) final version:

I would possibly lower the colour of the borders to fit closer to the back blue, then increase the grey font in the right side(something like #777, #888) just a fraction to make it more visible. Then your on to a good looking stylesheet then :)
