Code a Gun Turret

I am wanting to code a gun turret...I am using the turret in the FPS Kit that is included with the engine...Is there any code around to give me a start?...I want to fire particles from it and use raycast for the hits...Any help will be appreciated...

I might have some demo I was playing with myself somewhere. I will check tomorrow as we are off out :)

It had particles but no shoot mechanic

This is as far as we got with the project and stopped a year or 2 back now :)

This contains tracking, some base particles and one of the demos has a raycast out the front.

Try all the scenes, also have a look for a preset in the preset library as it used to attack and shoot in the original FPS video. Worth a shot and hope this information helps :)

None of these scenes run in the current version...But, I did manage to use the code to get the Turret working as far as turning and aiming at the player...The preset in the asset library is just the model with no code attached...I will just have to figure the shooting mechanics out now...

I grabbed them from the V0.9.7.6 version everyone is running, so it should work fine.
Check to see if the post processing techniques are causing an issue.

Anyway, hope you get it all working ;)

p.s. will have a look for the turret we used in a game level asap for you :) Quick post as windows is about to restart..... lol :P

Here is the turret which did attack the FPS player from the industrial level a couple years back.

Add it to your resources and then drag it in. Particles may be missing though, but the mechanics should still be valid and may need a tweak for your level / character. :)

Thanks SP....I got it working...At first it just crashed SkyLine...I had to make some changes to the script and get the particles working...Not sure what fixed it, but it is working...Thanks for the help...CO
