I loaded an fbx model into the scene but the textures some of which were dds and others of jpg format were not on the model when I converted it to mesh, although they are in the same folder. Am I missing something? The mat files looked white.

Did you use Prepare folder tool?

Are they added to the resources?

Do the textures contain dots in the name apart from the extension?

Does it work if you drag the textures into the material editor for the entity?

I did not know of the prepare folder tool. The answer to most of your questions is no. Two other models have loaded in correctly simply by converting to mesh.Where will I find prepare folder tool? Thanks for reply.

You can find the prepare folder option in the asset manager editor either on the main toolbar... looks like a drill icon or from right clicking on the Explorer tree view on a folder and finding the entry "Prepare Folder For Skyline".

One of the textures is not to a power of two ( in shape) . Does the conversion to dds format take care of this?

Yes the conversion re-scales the texture when creating the dds.
