I just bought World Machine to make some cool height maps is an image the only way to go what i mean is will it take raw or whatever down the line.

Also any idea how to get the snow to blend better so it doesn't look like a line and possibly more darker.

to blend the snow in further, change the height release setting on the snow to smooth it out over a greater area.

There is no way of making it darker than to change the actual texture itself using an art package.
We did try to implement the .raw files at one point, but i don't think it went too well lol :P
I am not sure if the option still remains in the load heightmap box.

Got it thanks :) an image file is fine just takes a little guess work with the height multiplier ;)

Any idea when you will be Increasing the number of painting layers as 4 just isn't enough ;) they are all used before you can even get to use them for example if you have a map with mountains you use Grass, Rock, Moss, Snow so it leaves nothing for say painting paths or painting a forest floor.

We can have a look at increasing the layers as I will be working in the terrain material adding the layer brightness control and could do both tasks whilst the terrain shader is been upgraded. :D

Yes m8 I now that I have finally go back to my workstation I have a few tasks to complete for the release then I will be revisiting the shaders and getting the terrain material upgraded plus other light stuff. ;)
