terrain creation

Hello. I been away for a while and now have gen2. Thanks. Is it still possible to create our own terrain from scratch? I start with a directional light as instructed some time ago , but the terrain tools do not seem to respond.At least not all of them. Anyone help?

Terrain is still usable and is no longer linked to a directional light..

Only the vegetation tools are not working because they are not in v1.0.
A new eco system is being created to replace it.

As for everything else, it should work better than it used too
