Reinstalling

Reinstalling

Postby epsilonion » 02 Oct 2015, 10:57

I think I will reinstall Skyline to see if this sorts out my issues.

If I backup my assets folder within the asset library folder and copy it back in after the reinstall what files do I need to keep so that I don't have to mess around re-importing my presets and models?

Skyline is independant of the asset library meaning all system files required exist in the Data folder(well most as we did seperate them a while back)

If you want to Backup your presets and asset files, then copy the Asset Library and copy your files back in over the top of the new asset library to repopulate the directories, then simply delete the resource .cfg files apart from the the one with "Base" in the name.

I don't like copying the data back in either, but make sure you backup all your models, textures, etc... so you dont lose them as it is a lot of work to redo.
