This...,.. This is....... So dam friggen cool, and yet at the same time cruel, makes me want to abandon my proto on the other engine and jump straight to skyline phase.

But I've made a plan and I want it to work out so will stick to my plan and get the proto out and then move over but still, this is Awesome for skyline

Looks like I have my work cut out for me lol

Very soon I am going to rewrite the FPS system to make use of the new reusable dynamic scripts and get all of these guns in play.
I may take a few weeks as there are many jobs to be done, but we will make it a high priority so it will be with you all as soon as pos. Looking forward to seeing it all in action :D

You already have the new FPS System although only a couple weapons are done so far. Where are you seeing FPS system very soon..

plus, its up to us how we handle things, as sometimes we don't know the exact deadline for a particular feature, so very soon... or coming soon.. is more helpful than not telling anyone at all.. its also a way of building excitement with users. Truthfully, no-one has had an issue with it yet :)

You're wrong, it's the worst communication you can do. Users will not stay with Skyline if you always say soon and one year later it is not here.
Your fps system is awesome for all beginners and no coders that want to make game fast. For coders it's better to let us making own weapons and character and animations and make specific code.

They did add the foundation along with a few guns this makes it easy for people to add there own with no time at all the reason not all the guns where added was we asked for a feature to be added I believe it was to make skyline 64bit which was no small task at the time but as you said if it is better to do it yourself then there's nothing stopping you.

Yeah 64bit is in version1 and worked well yeah there are a few crashes here and there, they have moved on to version2 now again due to request for visuals and performance. The time I have spent with version 2 has been mostly solid for me again few crashes here and there but I reported them and they got fixed.

The way they have setup the system you can add any arms with guns with a few tweaks so even if you have your own they should slot in. But if you need it to be very specific to your game you would most likely have to do your own from scratch.

Bloody hell this is an old thread lol....

There will be more example scripts when the video series gets started on so you have more to play with in months following the new year..

I am just getting into modelling not done any since. well to say a long time ago... I had one of the first versions of 3DS Max and have just upgraded over the past month lol...

I also you Hexagon 2 and that is a old program as well but still functional and does well...

Check out the weapon editor in the engine and the micrograph for the FPS system, you will find a list of weapons but only 2 activated, hook your bits in there and should be good to go.

Again, i still disagree with you on the Very soon.. as things are ususally implemented within a reasonable time.. so there.

btw... i am locking this thread since its quite old and we dont need older topic live again...
