Here is a new feature that we have been developing that will be included in the next auto update.
3 Way Gizmo - Separate Position, Rotation and Scale
This is a fully functional 3 type gizmo that works in world and local space for position and rotation.
Scale only works in local space. You switch between world and local on a drop down located in the on screen info.
It is controlled by the key modifiers,
> ctrl(rotate)
> ctrl + alt(scale).
There are also 3 transform buttons on the top that set the editing mode.
Snapping
Along with those cool new features, is the added ability of snapping to a grid, in local or world space.
This helps when building structures like train tracks or levels that are built from same size tiles, with a fully customizable grid distance
Added extra is the rotation snapping, so you can only rotate so many degrees each turn.
There is also the ability to align objects to the grid, either by dropping them into the scene with snapping active or by a right click "Align to" menu option. Which offers you to "align with the grid", "align to floor(bounds)" or "align to floor (pivot)."
We are also developing an up-to-date single 1 way gizmo, that will replace the current gizmo.
Then an editor settings property will be made to switch between the 2 of them and also a registry setting so skyline always loads back with the gizmo of your choice.
