Indoor Level and Ground Disc?

Indoor Level and Ground Disc?

Postby CreativeOcclusion » 17 Jul 2015, 18:56

I have imported an indoor level in .fbx format...I placed the level in the scene on top of the grounddisc and added Rigidbody mesh type to the indoor level...I added the FPS Kit Player in the level...I decided since I would not need the grounddisc I would delete it...When it was deleted FPS player floats to ceiling and orientation of mouse move is all messed up...

Does the grounddisc have to be present in scene to use FPS Kit Player?...Is there something I need to add to the indoor level for the FPS player to work correctly without the grounddisc?...
Thanks, CreativeOcclusion

there is a setting in prb, I untick dynamic option I think it is, as that seems to course some issues sometimes.
also maybe add a small flat terrain, with prb aswell. it may help solve things im not to sure.

to add a terrain, just use the terrain tab at the bottom right. and size to suit, you have to have the light source selected like a model though.

Thanks...This is exactly what the problem was...I unticked the dynamic from the level and it works like it should...There was no need for adding small terrain...I appreciate the help, I knew it must be something simple that I was missing...

n1 almighty ;) perhaps the team could have anything you import set to static by default in one of the updates as 90% of stuff is static and would save changing it each time.

we can change this to static by default. But it would only happen on new actions added to entities :)

On my version, it is no longer a checkbox as it is a combo box with the added option of kinematic(static, dynamic, kinematic). So it is static by default now :)
