When you listen to your own voice, why does it sound awful?

Bought a microphone, well its a studio microphone pre-amp and all that to have a go at voice overs, why does your own voice sound horrid when you listen to it yourself lol.

hahah I have asked this question before its something to do with vibration when you talk there is vibration when others here it there is no vibration just sound waves so its usually more high pitched and quieter.

A good way to help it is to add base to the audio file after or during process.

and not stutter or get your words messed up ( when under pressure ) lol we are a little bit dyslexic (love auto spell/complete) so can sometimes get verbally jumbled not good 30 seconds from the end of a 10 min take lol :lol:

But code, art and music sings to us and we are one with creativity :D
