PlanetX did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWXbLv_sLWE

No tutorials on this yet, but the key is to use transparent background. The gui uses css and html but off the top of my head I can not remember the syntax.

It's easy to implement 3D MENU like in the youtube I posted), the easiest way would be to have spline paths and attach the camera to one of them when a button is pressed on the guide.

The not as easy but still simple to implement will be to learp the camera and use the look at objectid command within the camera api.

Paths would be faster and easier to implement and get you up and finished with the menu in no time..

SF is right using transparency allows you to see through a texture on menus..

another way would be to apply a texture only to a portion of the screen to be a menu background for the buttons etc and have the rest textures so the scene shows through the menu.

The GUI editor is going to get some love and attention soon (if I recall SP saying that)....

oh yes, the GUI Editor will most certainly be getting some TLC(Tender loving care) soon, but all the main features of the engine need to be finished for v1.0.

Step by step tutorials will be added for the GUI editor, for the visual side and coding side. So please bear with us as we are in a crucial development phase and once v1.0 is out, we can start looking into upgrades and new features or expanded features :)

We will get there, its just a lot of work with only 2 of us programming lol :P

Again no worry, it's some sort of reminder of what is somewhat missing
