@ucm: About the zoom and pan, these can be done by:

Zoom: spin the mouse wheel the direction the camera is pointing.

Pan: use the A and D key to pan the camera left and right. Use keys E and Q to pan the camera up and down. By using these keys you can get similar action to a modeling packages pan tool. These keys also work in the other camera views such as front, top etc

Hope this helps ;)

oh cool, i didn't know we could do that with wsad

i'll try to get in the habit but i still would much prefer panning with the mouse when you can get a chance to work it in O : - )

We personally just move with the mouse wheel whilst turning the camera with rmb and find this the fastest method of movement combined with the odd wasdqe keys. When we move back to other packages they seem slow to use in comparison. Its like driving a new vehicle, initially you are slow as you get used to the new controlls etc, but in time you will be throwing the camera around the scene lol

I certainly do not understand why you removed WASD and at the moment I do not convenient to operate the camera. All the time quickened camera movement by pressing Shift, and now it is not to get it))
I hope that in the next patch you will return everything back.
P.S Sorry for bad English

WASD is still used (not removed) as it is a standard main game movement key but used in conjunction with other modifiers such as mouse wheel, SHIFT key, QE Key and the scene camera speed slider. ;)
