Drag and drop folders in the asset manager

Drag and drop folders in the asset manager

Postby epsilonion » 10 Dec 2016, 15:07

Is it possible to drag and drop file structures into the asset manager?

I would like
Code: Select all
                           cow > Model formats
                                 Shader Maps
                                 Textures

Cow is the main folder and the sub-folders model format, shader maps and textures contain the relevant files

It would make copying assets over a lot easier then making the directories manually and then dragging the files in that way, just a user friendly thing thats all.. :D

This does work if you do it from the explorer list not the view page. Well it did last time we tried ;)

The asset manager explorer list has most of the functionality for moving, deleting and all around organising for folders and files.

The icon view with all the files only has a one way access to drag files into the explorer folders and not the other way around at the moment.

Hope this helps :D
