Feature Request - Volumetric clouds exposure, save load func

Feature Request - Volumetric clouds exposure, save load func

Hi guys, I know your busy..

Just one for that huge list i guess.. lol

I started on a weather system linked in with the TOD system and seasons.
Would it be to much to ask for LUA exposure for the volumetric clouds density and other settings.

Lets take an example.

Overcast days = xx density of Vclouds.
Raining days = xx density of Vclouds.
Heavy Raining Days = xx density of Vclouds.
Snowing days = xx density of Vclouds.
Sunny day Varients = no cloud, some cloud, more cloud, etc..

Lightening (like what was in Gen1) would also be great for heavy raining etc.

Would it be much to see about colouring of the clouds like grey, dark grey (heavy rain) etc...
I know its more for the white board but I think it would be requested at some point anyway lol

I know that the environment API lists a load sky but I think that it would benefit from a save/load for the environment settings as a whole and API exposing to load in a envirnment, this way you could visually see the environment effects in editor and load them in when needed through script, it would make it so much easier for the users/new users to create weather systems for there games.. :)

I have much to be getting on with the system like particles and humidity effecting crops and general health (like IRL flu season etc). Basically what I was talking about before.

Thank you

Added a save/load function to the environment system (in editor) and a request for a load/save environment feature for the API for users/new users to create weather systems easily.

For instance;
Different environment settings for a bright sunny morning with fog, no clouds.
Overcast
Raining
Heavy raining (thicker cloud cover)
etc

It would also allow say heavy cloud cover for say 3 hours then brighten up.

This way you could visually see the effects in scene and save the environment file to be used later in script or visual module.

+1 for this

Controlling the sliders/variables via Lua script would be the best in my opinion. Probably the scene script? In this fashion we could easily control the weather in our scenes. This is a very important feature in a RPG game.
