Object rotation locking/snapping to set angles

I'd like to be able to hold a modifier key (ctrl?) while rotating a scene entity to have it snap to specific degree rotations (eg 0, 45, 90, 135 etc). The amount it snaps to (eg. 10 degree increments, 45 degree increments) would be a pulldown menu somewhere on the editor screen. These offsets would be relative to the world coordinates, not the current objects rotation. eg. If your entity is currently rotated 35degrees on the X axis, and your snap modifier is currently 10 degree increments, the first rotation would be to either 30 or 40 degrees, not 25 or 45 degrees.

we can add this to the translation tool, we already want to add a rotation and scale randomizer :D
