batch effecting rigidbody properties option

batch effecting rigidbody properties option

Postby lordalmighty1 » 01 Feb 2015, 15:26

what this is, is, a way to effect an entity and its same name assets in a scene with a rigid body/collision.
like if I have 10 walls_1 and apply a rigid body collision to 1 of them, I could effect the other 9 walls_1 with the same properties in a single click.

we have plans for multi select soon, the entire scene management tools are going to be redone for faster and more efficient workflow. For now, set the first one up. Save as a preset, then drag the preset to the scene aswell.

Presets are the sceneEntity in the scene with model, material, set scale, and any actions or scripts attached. It is saved as .preset/.xPreset and can be loaded into the scene to save you having to remake the physics each time.
Just go through each building type and create a preset.

We will make a preset workflow video. :)

We have chatted about instanced presets, this physics feature could be done with this type of system. As SP mentioned we are going to upgrade some core scene management, we will see what we can fit into that pass ;)
