Postby AuShadow » 05 Dec 2015, 13:04

hey guys, my version is 4 updates old, and i have let it run the updates twice now but still says need to update every time 4 versions, I am however far from a rush I just want to know if the installer is the latest version or not as I will do a full fresh clean install if it is, or will wait until the next installer is updated, thanks

Hi m8 sounds like you have the old version it got changed a while back, its just a small file that can be downloaded and used for each new skyline release unless stated otherwise. When you download the installer it will then download the updated files and install the latest version each time so say you used the new installer to install version 1.0 and 1.4 is out you can use the same installer to get the up to date version or the update button inside skyline there was a problem with that at one point due to updating to this new way but it got sorted out hope this helps ;)

No problem, we will help you through this AuShadow ;)

Between V0.9.6 and V0.9.7, there was a version number change that allows us to now release more updates without having to increase the main version numbers. So essentially we added a patch number to the end which is why our releases now have 4 numbers.

This broke upgrading from v0.9.6 the moment we released V0.9.7.2 as the first version of v0.9.7 allowed users to update within a weeks space or 2.

Important part:
If you are on v0.9.7.1,; then there was an error in code which stopped the updating system from working due to changing the company name, so i wrote a batch file that you could use to upgrade to v0.9.7.2.
You can find this here: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=1425

If you are on V0.9.7.2 onwards, then there is another error you are facing and we will have to find it.

As Tattie says, use the new installer and do a fresh install to jump all the way to v0.9.7.5 without any problems or get to v0.9.7.2 and then upgrade the rest of the way :)

Hope this helps :D
