Zombie detection range is somewhat like 20 units.
If you shoot the zombie from longer distance like 25, it won't move and stay idle while you are shooting at it.
This does not looks so good AI :lol:

Script could be tweaked to change zombie to seek mode for some seconds when it receive damage whatever is the distance to the player ?

most certainly would be a good thing to have, but not a massive priority in tasks.
Why not have a go at programming this in for yourself, would be some good lua practice :)

To help, the dynamic properties for the Zombie NPC, has an adjustable range already for which it detects the player, so when shot it could increase the range of the distance for a few seconds and then go back to normal :)
