Moving house

Postby SolarPortal » 11 Jun 2016, 09:55

Hey guys,. We are moving house this weekend and have no Internet on the other end.
We will be back ASAP and get the release up and running. If anyone is able to help out on the forums until we are back online, then that would be great.

Sorry for any inconvenience and we are working through it :)

We still have a few bits to move into the new property then we can get back to life as we know it once again. Feeling very tired but soon as we are fully move we can then set the studio back up and get you guys a shiny new update :D

Great to hear that you got moved safely...I think everyone here understands the situation...Get some rest after moving, and no need to rush the update...CO

Thanks for the understanding :)
We are finding it very hard without broadband and are currently on a mobile hotspot just trying to view a few webpages lol :P

Yesterday, we finished bringing the last load of stuff over from the old house to the new house so the tidy up now begins :)

Hi guys, just got access to some internet wohoo! and thought I would share the current situation. So we now have the studio in place and the dev kit is all up and running. SP has had some time to put together the last update and while we have access to the internet this new update should be with you soon, lets hope this bandwidth is good enough.

We are still trying to get an internet connection delivered to our studio. This morning we had an air band provider check out if they could get a signal. Airband is a wireless internet provider. After tests we failed to get a signal as there are too many hills and woods between us and the nearest mast. So no joy with this method, now we are going to try for a satellite broadband but this is a costly install, but we have heard there may be a discount available to us as there is no other choice of broadband available. It looks like its a long road for us having internet but we will get there ... somehow lol

The one clear bit of great news is that we can now get back to developing Skyline for you, although getting it out to the cyberscape may take a few tricks and prays hehe.

As always when we can scrounge a bit of bandwidth from anywhere we can we will pop in and keep you informed of our current Quest.

Hi guys, here's a small update on our situation:

The new house is now slowly becoming home and have most boxes unpacked, the studio is looking great although we have rickety floors so our dev station chair keep rolling about plus the floor in not level feels like we are in the cockpit of some interstellar freighter lol

Still no internet but we have ordered a satellite broadband system and just waiting to hear about our installation date, exciting times as we get closer to a fully functioning development environment once again.

We understand its a bit slow atm but once we are connected we will be shaking things up a bit and get the new quest underway.
SP has been working on some more of your requests and has also opened the new DX11 renderer ; this is looking great and I can not wait to get developing on this as the shadows are great and the lights, well you can have sooo many lights it really makes Skyline come alive. 8-)

Skyline here we come....... not long now :D
