Reasons to recommend Skyline

Postby Signalovernoise » 14 Apr 2015, 13:54

Hey, a bunch of folks at Slant are putting together a comparison of 3D game engines to serve as a comprehensive overview for people looking where to start with game development. I'm wondering if Skyline's community might help out with filling in the blanks about Skyline? This is the work-in-progress comparison that's being worked on: http://www.slant.co/topics/1495/~what-a ... me-engines

I got some initial info from SolarPortal about the engine that's added now, but I'm not a gamedev myself so much of the technical details and insights gained with experience are lost on me. So I'd very much appreciate if people here could help out with elaborating on various reasons for choosing Skyline over other options.

Made a start on them just starting with some simple ones and working on more advanced ones so that there is a selection.

oh wow, number 2 on the playlist is a great start.

We like the cleanness of the Aurasoft logo with the shine. Very professional.

The Skyline Game engine part needs a better font, if you could use the actual logo, that would be good.
I can send you the logo's if need be.

Perhaps say powered by Skyline.
It would also be good if you got the Blue flames and a lens flare ( scifi style )to shine of the Skyline as it appears.

Keep it up. This is very interesting! :)

Q) What software are you using?

As Sp says No2 is looking best.

Need to get a cinematic feel, the sense that this is huge and futuristic.

Heres a blue Imax ident, which is a nice shade also the sprinkles type of particle looks good.

My problem is I like watching youtube over normal TV and I get stuck into tutorials, then I save up for software and get them learn the basics then move on to the next software lol..

Take 3DS Max, After Effects, and a whole suite of software I own been stuck on the shelf collecting dust for ages and some even years now..

My ex used to complain that I could have spent that money on another holiday every year what I spend on software lol.... thats why she the ex... fancy saying something stupid like that to me... LMFAO....
