Hi guys this is the first time I have tried to add particles after the update but I cant seem to get them working the effects I had done before work fine but any new effects I try and make no longer work
The particle it plays isn't even mines and also there is a ray coming out of it when selected like the ray cast.
We changed the particles from being an entity type to an action as they are easier to update and work with. Plus we added many features you were wanting to the new particle action.
Older particles will still run, but they will not be editable now, so it is best to change to the new action and load the saved particle onto there

Yea thanks for the links sp but what I mean is the effect no longer loads in when you try and load in your images like (water_0 water_1) it shows up how many images there is so it see's them but nothing changes on screen.
sorry, i meant to say you need to make all edits in animate mode. yes you were in animate mode but that was after editing which will reset the particle on animate button press.
Try this: > Add entity to scene > Add particle action > Animate the scene > Now change the textures to the animated tex. > Press save and exit animate mode
Edit: We initially did it this way because it makes sense to edit effects while you can see them lol

you can build the particle action onto an empty node.
"RMB + Click in scene > Model > Empty Node."
Instead of recreating the effect to transfer it, you can either: > Copy the data property of the action and copy it into the other particle to keep the same particle data or > Save the particle effect to a file and load it on like old times.

I am now having the issue I had a while back if you can remember where the animation wouldn't loop properly.
I load it all in have I set up perfect cant see any start/stop on the animation I then save it and also save it as a prefab I then play it again and you can see it flicker
I think we got around it by setting a really large lifetime to stop the emitter firing a new particle effect every time and that was enough to give you the effect you wanted.
