Looking in Wrong Drive for Script File

Looking in Wrong Drive for Script File

Postby Shando » 23 Apr 2015, 05:51

Hi all,

I keep getting this error when trying to run my Scene:

Code: Select all
Error: Lua Sky.Include(), The file failed to loadcannot open C:/Aurasoft/SkylineSDK/test_ai/Scripts/ai_steer.lua: No such file or directory

Skyline is installed in "D:\aurasoft\....", and my Scene is also in "D:\aurasoft\....".

I have checked all resource files that I can find and none of them point to anything on the C: Drive.

I have also recreated both lots of Resources (Main and Project) several times, but keep getting this error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

strange, i looked in code and it grabs the path from only the resource lists for locating the files.
Q) Do you have multiple skyline's installed? I don't think this is possible though.

Q) Did you delete the files for your resources or did you use the in editor menu options?
If not, delete the "SkylineResources.cfg" & "SkylineMaterialResources.cfg" files in "Data/Resources/"
In your project, delete the 2 files in the Resources folder.
Then boot skyline and allow the resource lists to auto create.

Try to reboot the computer and see if this fixes the problem.

Perhaps the Environment Variables are pointing to the wrong folder for:
  • SKYLINE_SDK
  • SKYLINE_SDK_BIN
  • SKYLINE_VERSION

They should point to the correct folder paths.

Q) Have you ran from a different folder before? e.g. D Drive instead of C Drive

Hi SP,

Thanks for that.

All my System Variables are pointing to the D: Drive, and Skyline was a fresh install on the D: Drive a week or so ago.

I had included a Script file from my desktop (which is on the C: Drive) for a previous test.

However, deleting just the Main "SkylineResources.cfg" and "SkylineMaterialResources.cfg" from the "Data" folder did the trick, so I guess I must have confused Skyline somewhere along the line??
