Ahh, the FPS player can not be rotated in this version and when it runs it faces the opposite direction to the scene placement. This will be fixed in the new FPS system schedueld for development very soon. ;)
The current fps was just a temp system to test out shooting mechanics and worked better that expected for all development tests, but like you and others in the community we now need a customisable game ready version, complete with the new weapons :D

FPS Hud: This works fine for us and others, don't know why you are having a problem, but we will find out why. SP will help resolve this for you ;)

For the HUD not showing looks like the GUI files are missing or not called. Have you edited the FPS Player script, perhaps it is not the HUD at fault.

Also spot lights can misbehave on stretched objects, not always the case though

No not edited it at all, this is straight from that zip file that was given and added to the resources.

Does the HUD load in a blank scene with no other entities apart from new scene stuff.

I currently dont have a compiled version of skyline as i am trying to add JSON into skyline ;) This makes it tough to test lol :P

A new scene as is when you click the new scene but to with just the ffs player and hud

Is how I tested it before when I extracted it front the zip file into the asset browser and added to the resources. .no rush, I can work on other things.. wait till you have more time on your hands

try with just the HUD without the player in the scene as we want to see if the GUI Commands are working for you.

If it still does not show, then can you add this script to a cube with a microscript:
Code: Select all
function onInit(objID)
    sky.lprint("#&255,255,255:LUA: Loading HUD Gui!");
    obj = objID;
    gui.workSpace("FPS Hud/");
    guiID = gui.load("FPS Hud.rml", 0, 0);
end

Check the console log for any errors after you have ran this.

Edit: Also can you check if you have any duplicate resources of the names (file="FPS Hud.rml", folder="FPS Hud")?
