Loading scene crash 64bit (FIXED)

Loading scene crash 64bit (FIXED)

Postby epsilonion » 01 Nov 2015, 18:23

I created a terrain, put a model of a car, spline path circling the car and attached a 2d fixed camera to the path looking at the car, then it crashed and will not reload the scene.

I created the scene from scratch 4 times and it crashed every time and will not reload the scene without crashing.

I have not tried the 32bit version of the editor.

we have encountered something similar and it seems to be do to with the terrain. I am going to be looking at this as my next task :)

Edit: Yes, your logs say terrain as well. Will let you know how it goes finding the crash :)

ok, found the error. Quite a simple one at that.

The new version of ogre3d we have used for skyline now wants terrains to be part of the resources.

So for now to simply get around the fault until the next update, go to asset manager > locate your scene files > add the folder to resources. It is the *.ter in question that needs to be apart of the resources. I am building it now to make it automatic :)
