Custom terrain texture (material) crash

Attempting to change a default terrain material diffuse texture with a custom texture causes instant crash. Tried .png, .jpg & .dds variants of several different textures (8-bit, RGB, 1024x1024) all with same crash result. However, swapping said diffuse texture with any stock textures works fine.

Tried copying custom textures to both SkylineSDK/Asset Library/Textures/TerrainTextures & then to SkylineSDK/Skyline/Data/Terrain/TerrainTextures paths before loading Skyline and also while it was already loaded. Still same crash when trying to change out a default terrain diffuse texture. Last resort I tried the Regenerate Resource Files under Tools menu, no luck either :? .

Noob question - What is the preferred method for adding custom textures for use in creating new terrain materials?

Have you added the textures to the resources either by:

> Regenerating resource lists - Go to "Asset manager->Menu->Resources->regenerate main resources".
or
> Add single folder to resources - Go to "Asset manager->Find folder containing resources in the explorer->Then Right click folder->Resource Management->Add to resource list"

Hope this helps :D

We should make the terrain texture loading automatically add to the resources.
I am not sure if this is done yet, the resource management was new in 0-8-0, so there are still a few kinks in the system :P
Other systems in skyline auto add the resources if they dont exist or at least ask you lol.

Fixed for the next release!
There was possibly an error with the normal map aswell.

Thanks, manually adding the folder to resources worked. Agreed that an automatic update to resources would be friendlier, good to see it will be added for next release. Yep, normal map had same behavior.
