Terrain functions

Terrain functions

Postby planetX » 05 Jan 2018, 11:52

Hi,

would be great to have these functions working:

terrain.getHeightAtPoint(x,z)
terrain.getSurfaceAtPoint(x,z)
terrain.getTextureAtPoint(x,z)

I'd need them for a procedural generation system I'm planning. :D

Cheers

My specs: Windows 10 - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz - 16 Gb ram DDR4 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 Gb

+1 for this one...

If I had a script (I do) that does weather and when it rains you can place puddles or running water planes on the ground (uneven ground)..
When it snows you could use a plane on uneven ground with ice etc on it..
