I am probably not the best person to advise on this as I don't know much about the Ryzen cards. Personally, I've used Nvidia cards for quite some time now and have always been pleased with the results. I push them hard, too, both with playing games (all at Ultra settings) and in developing both 2D and 3D computer graphics.
From a graphics professional point of view, on most of the forums where I frequent (mainly 3D development software forums) more developers seem to be using the Nvidia based cards. But, frankly, EITHER of the two will be a huge step up for you going from that older GTX 760.
If you do go with the Ryzen card, remember to use a utility to COMPLETELY uninstall the graphics drivers before installing the appropriate ones for your card.
