The "F" series are locked, so you can't overclock them. That's what makes the K series more attractive. 100Mhz is not a big deal, as far as I am concerned, so the 10850k sounds like the best deal to me. And from what I've been reading, in some instances, you can get better results with the 10850k than with the 10900k, though otherwise they are virtually identical. I am pretty sure the 10850k is the way I'll go.
The motherboard is the next thing to look at. I currently have 128GB of DDR4 RAM in my current system, but its 8 sticks of 16GB each. I've only found boards with the LGA1200 four memory slots thus far. So, if I go with any of the 10 series (other than any of the X chips), it seems I am restricted to four memory slots and, thus, will be reduced down to 64GB. However, I don't think I'll miss the other 64GB ... not for the speed increases I'll get with the new CPU and MB.
