OK will have to work on the moving Cars. Just loading the rest of the converted cars to the scene now.

I am guessing that I will need to use the path editor to follow the intended tracks.

Now, the insert point or where the gizmo is on the model when set in the editor, does this need to be at the perceived lead side of the car for motion? Is this handled in the action and scripts that would be assigned to each car?

cool, i am not sure if the "Entity - Follow" action will do what you want, but its worth a shot. This action controls non-physical object, but it is using the old steering method i created. There is a new and better way of doing it, but that action has not been upgraded yet.

But for a train, you would want it to be physics, so you can shoot it, damage it and eventually blow it up :D Maybe a large character controller could be used. A train would need the wheels to follow the track enough to be believable. We could do with the physics constraints for this so the front of the car pulls all the back ones.

Give it a go, see how far you get and if it can't be done. Then there is another thing we need to do to make skyline even better! :P

Could use an invisible physics monorail type of profile to make it stay on track, also set any friction to minimum.

I will have to give it a try and see what can be done. My script skills are at minimum.

Here is a video of some more of the cars.

Just thinking about this for a bit, and I am figuring it might be easier to rig them together like a snake. Makes it un customizable on the order of the cars, but would have better control I would figure. Will have to try that also, for custom requests.

But I would like to look into the ready to place them and assign an action to follow each other down the path. Better for sales purposes.

We shall see what happens. I am going to spend some time in the vehicles tech demo and stuff to see what is up.

OK, the first thing I see is the insert point and orientation do play a major role in the race track demo. Also don't like a preset with collision already assigned. Editor throws no message, but also does no place it in the map. Silent Fail safe.

Edit: I see that I can rotate the vehicle after the collision is refreshed. It is very cool watching one of these go around the race track.
