Uploading your assets to the store!

Uploading your assets to the store!

Postby SolarPortal » 03 Feb 2015, 10:40

Hello Artists!
Are you wanting to sell your assets on our store, then feel free. well actually it is free, there are no vetting programs you have to process, simply sign up and upload your products and start earning :)

There is a specific way the products need to be uploaded to the store.

> Create your packs in less than 20mb (current server php upload limitation), and archive in .zip format.

NOTE: php server download is 64mb. We can upload larger content up to 64mb manually for you with a slightly different percentage deal.

> Sign up to vendor program or log in to your account, the back end link should have been sent to your email upon signup.

Download Creation
> Create a download in the "Catalog > Downloads".
  • Click the insert button to add a new download
  • Enter the download name.
  • Upload the download file. If you have troubles with this, please contact support@aurasoft.co.uk and we will help you through the process or upload the file to the FTP manually. :)
  • Enter the mask if it is blank, this is set upon upload completion, if uploaded by the devs, then we will pass you a mask back.
  • Add how many times the product can be downloaded before needing to repurchase.
> If you need a specific category, then ask one of the moderators(moderators can pass a message to devs) or devs.

Product Creation
> Then create a product in the "Catalog > Products" section.

> You should be on the first page, fill in all boxes here.

> Click on the second tab Data. Fill in:
  • Price
  • Set the SEO Keyword for better search engine findings.
  • Set an image for the product.

> Now click on the 3rd tab Links. Fill in:
  • Add the categories by typing in a name like meshes or audio and choose one of the ones that appear.
You can tell what categories there are from the store front.
  • Add the Filters to find your product better.
  • Then add the download you created, by typing in the Downloads box.
  • Add any related products you own or other peoples
> Click on the tab "Image", and add as many images as you need to sell your product.
> Click on the Last tab "Youtube", and add as many videos as you need to sell your product.

> Now press the Save button to keep those changes.

You now have a product on the asset store that can be purchased, so fill it up and have fun! :)

Note: Please place a license in the description, say whether the asset is commercial, non-commercial or free to use to safeguard your work!

The Asset Store now allows you to upload videos, as many as you want per product.

Also the backend admin for vendors has been upgraded to match skyline branding.

I have upgraded the control panel backend for vendors. Changes are:

> Restyled to look like skyline.
> When creating a product, the sku, upc, ean, jan, isbn, mpn, location etc have been removed from data tab.
> the use shipping has been removed and set to false.
> subtract stock has been removed and set to false
> quantity and minimum quantity have been removed.
> the Required Model no. is now autogenerated.
> Manufacturers and Stores have been removed from the links page
> and more...

Basically, you can create a product simply by entering the name and pressing save lol. Won't do much, but its easier to setup.
Changed instructions above :)

I just looked at our phpinfo for our server and it says there is a maximum upload limit of only 20mb allowed through php.
Our mistake sorry. I have edited the above instructions.

The download limit is 64mb. So we can upload larger packages manually for you, but since it requires more work, a different percentage rate may apply. Contact our support email for details.

We would like to move to a dedicated server, but we do not have the funds to do so yet, but when we do; it shall be done for large uploads and downloads.

sorry for the inconvenience this has caused anyone.
