Wow....

Wow....

This is just a little personal story, hope you have a laugh with me about it and avoid my mistake if you're new

So, I had just purchased Skyline, but everything was so hard. The VME came out, but I still had no luck. Everyone else found the engine to be easy to use, but I was just stuck. I figured that any type of game would require tons of code or heavy use of Visual Mechanics. Heck, I did a ton of 3D modeling and got really good at it just to avoid using the engine.

And then, I realized something. Something that'll change my game development for the better...

I had no idea that the Action Editor existed before today. After 3 months of owning the engine.

 yea it has many little gems some are obvious some are not but my advise to anyone is just keep at it and skyline will become second to none, there are a few things they could do to make to more welcoming to new users like.

1. A few start-up characters/weapons (This will come in time I believe)
2. Zones I would like to see this I know its easy to code in but zones would allow new users to place down easily
audio, death, spawn, checkpoint, next level,

3. A standard game menu that new users can use.

In turn this would allow someone who knows nothing of the engine to easily make a simple game fast.

Wow, that really was funny  Had me chuckling loads haha :) Great that you found it in the end though.
If you ever are stuck or not sure if somethings missing, please contact us and we will happily direct you to the feature.

Awesome :D

1. A few start-up characters/weapons (This will come in time I believe)

The FPS Arms Tattie kindly offered us are now under construction in the new FPS system which is being created in the Module system for expandibility and its easier to change or upgrade things. Plus 2 birds with 1 stone as we are creating more modules as its developed. Characters would be cool, got to get back to fuse though hehe :P

2. Zones I would like to see this I know its easy to code in but zones would allow new users to place down easily
audio, death, spawn, checkpoint, next level,

We have a new panel already planned for this which will make mechanics and triggers (zones etc..) for stories, audio, cinematics much easier to add to the scene.

3. A standard game menu that new users can use.

This one makes sense. Most other engines do provide this, so its something we should too.
The player already comes with an option screen though, just not a starting menu, pause or end game etc...

All things have been taken note of, but some are already in development :)

@epiQuerty, we hope you find the engine much easier to use now and have many more features to play with. If you need us, give us all a shout :)
