Awesome News! Skyline v1.0 is now public and exits beta and the new website is live. So login/sign up, reset your own serial and create a vendor account to sell your assets And we have a new update for you all too. You might need to click the activate button again though as we upgraded our license system....

Is still a Steam version planed to get more people on board using Skyline ?

The problem with steam even though it reaches a wider audience is that the amount of money lost in the process due to double taxation and a 30% cut to steam would make the product much more expensive to make the difference in price loss. I don't mind 30% of sale, but when you lose 60% of a sale, that's not good in a business sense.

I thought it was only 30% on Steam for any digital sale ?

Unity and UE4 are not Steam and do well, so Steam is not a vector of success, instead software features and quality is the success vector.
I think you will need some articles or small adverts on twiiter ( with links to gamedev, indie ...).
Also try to write some article for Gamasutra. Or contact GamesFromScratch, they make lot of articles about all 3D and 2D Engines.

yeah, its 30%, but the hidden side is that they declare tax their side and then you have to within your own country too.. so everyone wins but the developer.

as you say and we firmly believe that steam is not the bee all and end all to making skyline a success. Its just going to take time and effort to get it to the stage of being a popular product, especially with all the trolls around...
