Demo Video requires footage!

Demo Video requires footage!

Postby StarFire » 24 Mar 2015, 16:00

We are leading up to starting our Steam Greenlight Campaign. To do so we will need lots of footage of Skyline scenes and preferably game like footage for our official demo video. If anyone has or would like to create some Skyline scenes we can use for video footage that would be awesome and the Skyline Goddess would smile upon you favourably and may be grant her minions some time for rest lol

The scenes don't have to be full blown games and some scenes could be very small areas with a camera fly through, but overall the choice is yours just have fun.

Please let us know if you are willing to participate and we are looking forward to seeing your creations :D

Few shots using the spline for videos is causing the engine to crash

these above shots are more to the island scene I am making, this time with some bamboo huts and other buildings.
though this is just for looks and not for gameplay.. it has been fun making the scene all told :)..

This scene is looking and developing great :D
Keep up the great work LA1! :D

We are excited watching this scene develop and all of the other cool projects you guys are making. :D

Yes LA1 It is fun just using Skyline as a creative tool for making cool scenes and not just game levels. We find most of our play time is just stretching our creative muscle making a scene not for any other purpose other than just to do it. ;)

Re: Demo Video requires footage!

we are looking at releasing the visual mechanics editor after the upcoming release which is coming out in the next week or so. It's taking a little longer because we decided to make this release a large dynamic scripts and custom editor release all in one.

Before the custom editors were planned for 3 releases away, but it is nearly usable. So we decided to throw a little extra effort and make a stonker of a release for V0.9.4 :)

ok so I wasn't happy with the way the 1st scene was going, so have restarted a different scene.
keeping to the same theme for the demo, but with a different terrain map and assets :)

here is some early screenshot of what I have plus I have more of an idea about where this demo will go and what will be done in it. all top secret for now lol ;p...

nice islands :)

Tip: If you drag a texture onto a model, make sure to save it to a material( Select entity > RMB+Click > Save Texture as material ). This is what caused the last island scene you made to have all the material errors on loadback :)

Image

I think it could be a great level, keep it up :)
