Windows 10

Windows 10

Postby TattieBoJangle » 22 Jul 2015, 12:31

So windows 10 comes with some features that I think will make life a lot better :) for example it can now load 3d models by default no need to wait on 3d max to load it also plays the animations, it also allows you to create desktops here is a video showing a few small things :)

have you got a "$Windows.~BT" hidden folder on the root of your Windows Installed Drive( mine is currently c:\ )
This is the actual copy of windows 10 and we have got a folder size of 5.62gb which windows 10 is supposed to be less than 6 gigs according to sources online :)

We are just waiting for it to ask when to install it or are we meant to run the "setup.exe" manually. Well we will find out soon enough lol. I will be updating once the release is uploaded online.

Well, installed Windows 10, all looked good, but no WiFi on my laptop

so had to roll back to 8.1 :(

Now Windows Update is trying to redownload and currently says it's "preparing for installation", so who knows what's going on??

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day ;)

thats sound bad Shando :( i hope tomorrow goes better for you aswell.

Well, i have my computer upgraded to Windows 10. It seemed to take a while to upgrade and my windows key isn't being recognised yet, that might change tomorrow though hopefully. eek

@ Tattie, the trigger error you were experiencing with the spawn is also failing for me on windows 10. I think its safe to say that the OS is the problem.

i will respond to all the other forum posts tomorrow :)

Well, left it til this morning, didnt know about the verify pc. It must have been a windows 8 thing. I did that from the accounts and then my windows key activated, so all good now.

I also had to get rid of those horrid white bars across the top of everything by creating a new theme lol :P

The new design feels somewhat retro. There are parts which are better and more modern, then other areas feels like its back in the 90's, early 2000's on an older version of windows lol just with higher resolution :P
Next few years they will bring out a new version and say we have gradients again to give a more modern look. It must have been stripped for it to run on mobiles. We shall see what the updates bring lol :P
