Thanks for sharing this info, it's could be very helpful and useful for beginners.
Sculpting programs are pretty similar, aside from some features. For free software, I personally like Sculptris which feels very good.
Personally, I use blender and Sculptris and they both really work wonderfully together and complement each other. Sculptris can do things blender can't, blender can do things Sculptris can't. so they're indubitably supposed to be used alongside each other rather than picking one software and working only in that.
For sculpting you'll almost certainly want a graphic tablet. Its MOST useful for sculpting, texture painting, and grease pencil. I have a XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 and use it daily for Blender & Sculptris work. and it's quite good.
