editor crashes loading up asave scene

so spent a few hours so far this morning making a scene, nothing special or keepable just practicing stuff..
now I have been saving periodically the scene lol, but now after a copy entity crash it wont load up the scene I was working on lol.. it just crashes the editor for whatever reason :(

ok, well skyline uses xml scene files, so we can usually fix scenes so they load again.
Q> is this the same mesh that was breaking before?

Another option is if you know the mesh that was breaking it, underscore the mesh file and skyline should load your scene file again.

if you need help getting this working again, we will be happy to take a look for you :)

p.s. We will be working on finding why your duplicating crash happened and why tatties character walks through walls today.

this is a new entity purchased last night, have a couple of issues with them lol.
I will send you the item in question with textures ect.. along with some others that seem not to function well maybe its an issue with skyline or maybe with the models formats ect I really don't know.

Character textures missing
@lordalmighty1, here is the first tutorial to get the textures showing:

Street Lamp
As for the other streetlamp problem, simply drop the .mesh and .material from the zip i sent you into the folder with the fbx files and overwrite when asked, then simply drag the .mesh into the scene instead of the .fbx, and you will see the lamp.

Some information for you and other users:
FBX - this is a file that is exported from a modelling package or downloaded when purchased from web
When an FBX is dragged into skyline, our converter makes several files from it.
  • .mesh - this is the mesh file, which is what you see in the scene after an .fbx is dragged in.
  • .material - this holds all the information to texture your mesh, through use of shaders. (you won't need to edit this)
  • .skeleton - if your FBX has bones, then a .skeleton file is created holding all the bone information for your .mesh

the street lamp crash is now fixed.

The problem was caused by having a skeleton but no registered animations.
On load it sets the animation to play, if there is a skeleton and when duplicating also did the same thing.
So that is now fixed. :)

I hope it has fixed the .x duplicate crash aswell.
